To get from the start to the finish, don't try going up towards East Chop and around that way because that's the way the runners are going and they will be in your way. Go back out of town as though you are going back towards Edgartown, then at the first major intersection (a rotary) on the long road down to Edgartown take a left on Barnes Road. Follow along the lagoon.
